Comments from the worlds' finest book reviewers- in the author's totally objective opinion:
"I finished Badass last night. I couldn't put that puppy down once I got started. All I can say is that I'm in awe. Here is one true yardstick: even when I wasn't actively reading the book, I was thinking about it. I'll never fully understand the HD experience, but you definitely put me there and made me feel it. I learned a lot and I'll never look at you guys cruising down the road in your leathers quite the same way ever again. Here is my "Top Five" list:
5. The TC sense of humor. Reading you is just like talking to you: it's always fun.
4. Your description of Ty's gig in LA, and Ty borrowing a pen to sign autographs. Way cool.
3. The trip to the Sturgis rally and your rides through the Black Hills and the Badlands. Great stuff. I wanted more- more detail, more about the characters you met, etc.
2. Highway 50- The Loneliest Road. That section really grabbed me- the description of the road, cruising the sweepers, the Gumps. You're at the top of your game. I have a friend who lives along US 50 in Pueblo, CO. You made me ache to hit the road, even if it's in a cage, and head for Pueblo.
1. Julieann for sainthood! What an incredibly lucky guy you are, Tom. I venture to say that most wives, faced with a stolen Harley Heritage, would not say "Let's go buy a Road King, plus three bags full of goodies to hang on it." The fact that she loves you enough to understand that Tom Campbell needs to go be TC from time to time... it's an amazing thing."

I sincerely thoroughly enjoyed this book- 'Badass'! You are an excellent writer, very fluid, likable characters, VERY funny- family and friends oriented. It catches the feeling of freedom and paints beautiful America before my eyes.
Anyone who has traveled will be sweetly reminded of the freedom of the road- it makes me want to take off again and brings me back to warmer days and carefree summers.

"...spend some time with Tom Campbell's new book, "BADASS, The Harley Davidson Experience", as he takes you on a ride through his experiences on the road with some surprising variations along the way. What a treat! I too like the food in Rawlins. I had the best chicken fried steak I've ever tasted anywhere. And when the server brought it to the table, I about fell over. It was the largest I've ever seen and it was goooood! Well, Tom - love your book and Best of Wishes. Looking forward to a follow-up!"
